The business commenced as a small trading outfit in 1947, trading in various items on small scale, at that period the business was registered as sole proprietory concern under the personnel name. Later in 1981 the business was registered as sole proprietary concern named as syarikat sri murugan trading agency the business was housed in a rented premises.From then onwards the business grew very significantly, in line with the growth and to develop the business new products were added
About Products
The concern became a household name for spices, herbal products and indian prayer items and gum benjamin It was during this period the business acquired the sole distributorship.
During this period the company ventured into the manufacture of gum benjamin invariably this lead to export of gum benjamin and other items south africa, sri lanka, indonesia, india and middle east.
To cater the increased sales volume the business was relocated to 3 acre industrial land at no 1726, jalan rukun, ijok, batang berjuntai.the premises consisted of large warehouse, office premises, cold rooms loading and unloading bays and staff quarters the premises is owned and free from encumbrances
On 8th may 2007 the business was reconstituted into sdn bhd styled as syarikat sri murugan trading agency sdn bhd for better operations and flexibility
Then in august 2009 the retail outlet in our own premises was opened for business .the business is located at 79 jalan tengku kelana, little india klang.the objective of this outlet was to provide quality products and very reasonable prices at satisfy the end users request
Mission
Our strength was again recognised when we appointed as the sole distributors for shalimar agarbatti company in 2010
In 2018 the business operations was relocated at larger wholly owned premises at lot 5129, jalan kenangan, meru klang.this new premises is located nearer to the north south highway and this would increase the efficiency of the delivery time and resolve the logistic issues and would be accessible to new customers.

Currently we are the household name in grains, pluses, herbal products, indian prayer items and gum benjamin.we are the sole manufacturer of gum benjamin in malaysia.
Currently we are one of the major players in this line of trade.
